MK calla from Thomas for a vase. Callas from foamiran: master class flowers and leaves, photo

11.12.2019

We will need:

  • foamiran (milky and yellow);
  • thick floristic wire (I have 2-2.5 mm in diameter);
  • paints (any);
  • microbeads (yellow);
  • floristic tape (teip tape);
  • floristic mold;
  • masking tape;
  • scissors;
  • second glue;
  • hot glue;
  • foil.

I have long wanted to make this wonderful branch. And here, on occasion, my husband gave calla, I had to take it apart and make it)))) I slightly reduced the size of the flower.

Calla will be made of several parts. The first part is the flower itself (more precisely, the cob, it’s more common for us to call it a pestle) with a stalk, and the second part is the veil around it (petal).

Making an ear

Take a thick floristic wire (I have a wire diameter of 2-2.5 mm, length 45 cm). It can be used, like other masters, 2-3 thick wire wires), microbeads (yellow, I mixed 2 shades, you can use one), a small piece of foil, a small piece of yellow foamiran, second glue, hotmelt adhesive.

A piece of foil (15 cm in length, 10 cm in height, the size may be smaller, we will cut off the excess) in half.

Now apply hot glue to the wire 4-4.5 cm and begin to glue the foil around the wire, simulating an ear, and at the top it will be slightly narrower than the bottom (its dimensions: 4-4.5 cm - length; width will be uneven, at the top 0 , 4 cm, and closer to the bottom 0.6 cm). We cut off the excess.

Take a piece of yellow foamiran (length - 5 cm, width 3-3.5 cm) and glue it with a foil base. We put a drop of glue at the base of the pestle and glue it to the wire. We cut the excess.

Now apply a second glue to the pestle (you can use it in parts, you can immediately do it all, as it will be convenient) and roll it in the microbead from all sides. We press well on all sides with our fingers so that the adhesion of the glue to the surface is better.

Our pestle is ready.

Stem Making

The stem of this flower is quite thick. Based on the reduced flower size, the stem is slightly thinner in thickness than in reality. At the base of the pestle, the stem will be 06, -07 cm thick, closer to the bottom about 1 cm.

In order to thicken the stem, take 3 more wires (2 - 2.5 mm in diameter) and wrap with masking tape. We place an additional 3 wires around the wire with the pestle, so that one originates immediately under the pestle, and the other 2 are several millimeters lower. With this design, we will ensure a smooth transition into the stem. For the convenience of work and to avoid the formation of unnecessary folds, when wrapping the stem, we cut the adhesive tape lengthwise into 4 parts and we will wrap it like a tape. Thus we wrap the entire stem with tape 2-3 times.

Now take the tape tape and wrap the stem on top of our tape. Here's a pestle on the stem.

Making bedspreads

Then, according to the template, we cut out a petal (veil) from milk foamiran for our future calla lily. Pattern size: height 10 cm; width 9.5 cm.

Now we tint the petal with paints (I have a dry pastel of 2 colors: dark green and yellow). We will tint the lower part of the petal at the base, about 1/3 part, only on one side (this will be the outer side). On both sides we tint only the top of the petal.

Let's start processing the petal. Let’s thin the edges: collect the part of the petal in the accordion and scroll between the fingers, straighten it. We process this way first one side of the petal, then the other. We twist the upper part of the petal (“tail”) with our fingers inward to form a tube.

Now give the texture to the petal (we process it without an iron). Take a floristic mold (I have a universal one), apply the outer lower part of the (painted) petal to the mold and sell it well with your fingers to the middle of the petal. If there is no suitable mold, then you can skip this procedure and leave the petal smooth.

Then, with your thumbs, we push the recess at the base of the petal (about 1.5 cm in height.

Flower assembly

We are approaching the logical conclusion))) In order to correctly and effectively curl the petal around the pestle, we will need to constantly “try on” the petal to the pestle.

The pestle is attached at 0.5 - 0.7 cm from the left edge of the petal, and you will need to "try on" that way.

So, we “try on” the petal and see where we can do the bend and turn up. Thus, we twist all the edges of the petal, constantly trying on and simulating folding. We do these manipulations until the appearance of the petal suits you.

Now glue the pestle to the petal with a second glue, departing from the left edge of the petal 0.5-0.7 cm (use a toothpick or other convenient object to apply glue pointwise).

Tuck the left edge and glue to the base of the pestle.

We lap up the other edge of the petal and glue it.

Now we wrap the stem with tape again, grabbing a little joint between the petal and the stem. Slightly tint the transition of the petal into the stem.

And now, finally, the beautiful Calla is ready)))

Now I will demonstrate a master class in which we will create an elegant calla from foamiran with our own hands with step-by-step photos and a description of the pattern. This flower is obtained absolutely like a real one and can serve as an element in a floral arrangement.

To make it we need:

White fom;
   yellow fom;
   toothpick;
   semolina;
   PVA glue;
   yellow paint;
   paint brush;
   teip tape green;
   green pencil;
   glue gun.

From a yellow foamiran we cut a rectangle 2x4 cm in size. Along this fragment we glue the blunt end of the toothpick along the long edge end to end and step back from the short 0.5 cm. We twist and glue the other edge, and cut the top into two halves end-to-end to the stick and glue it.

We will make the stamen as realistic as possible. Dip our yellow blank from Thomas in PVA glue, then immediately envelop it with semolina. All yellow foamiran should be covered with these grains. The workpiece must be put somewhere on time, so that it dries, as it should.

After the glue has dried, apply the paint on top of the grits, after which we also set it aside, but not until it dries completely. While we make the petal, the paint dries exactly as we need.

Now, according to the template, we cut out a petal 8 cm high from white foamiran. We twist the edges in one direction, and scroll the sharp end between the fingers. The lower part of the side into which the edges are wrapped is painted in green with a green pencil.

To the back side, which is net we fix the stamen, as in the figure. Due to the fact that the paint has not yet completely dried, it will begin to stain white fom. This is exactly what we need, as it will appear as if the stamen has sprayed. No need to dirty it on purpose, otherwise it may not look quite neat.

Wrap and fasten the ends towards the stick. The edges of the petal should wrap outward.

We wrap a toothpick with a green teip tape, thus forming a stem.

We get calla, which can be complemented by any floral arrangement.

Artificial flowers multifaceted by its functionality. Such flowers can be used to decorate bags, baby hair clips, headbands and interior decoration. Today we will make one of the most exotic and delicate flowers from plastic suede (foamirana).

For mk from Thomas we need:

  • floristic wire;
  • white, yellow and green fom;
  • candle;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun.

Master class from foamiran   It is very fast and simple, so it can be done even with children.

From white foamiran we cut a rectangle measuring 8x5 cm, from yellow 5x1 cm, from a green square measuring 2.5x2.5 cm. We prepare a floral wire as long as the stem of the flower is needed. This must be taken into account when forming a bouquet.

  After that, from each rectangle we form blanks for the flower. The petal itself will be in the form of a leaf, the lower end of which is cut off. We also form a leaf from green Thomas, but with pointed ends. From yellow foamiran we cut a stamen.

  The edge of the white Thomas petal needs to be stretched a little, so we warm it over the candle for only a second and immediately stretch it with your thumbs.

  Get a volumetric edge.

  Then we also heat the yellow stamen above the candle. It will become more voluminous.

  Now we fix the stamen to the wire, and glue the wire with the stamen in the middle of the petal. The wire should go on the white fom, so the length of the stamens can be adjusted if necessary.

  We seal the lower part, thereby forming a bud.

  Glue the bud to the leaf in the middle. So that the wire passes through the sharp ends.

  We glue the leaf around the wire.

  They need to hide a slice of white foamirana, so its width should allow this to be done.

Delicate calla from foamiran.

It turns out very beautiful calla from foamiran.

Calla flower from Thomas.

Flowers from Thomas   pleasing year-round with its beauty, they are aesthetic and touching, and calla from Thomas is tender. It is sophisticated and suitable for making a bouquet, boutonnieres for the groom   or boutonnieres on the arm for bridesmaids.
  Especially for the site Crafts Lessons Antonina Mazur.

Today I will tell you how to make calla from foamiran. This is a very beautiful and popular flower now, especially among brides. You can make a beautiful bouquet of white callas, they are good both on their own and in tandem with roses.

So, we look at how to make this wonderful flower from foamiran with your own hands.

Step-by-step photo instruction: MK how to make calla from foamiran

MK on foamiran: making a stalk and pestle for calla lilies

To make a calla pestle, we need to take floc powder. But if you don’t have it, then the semolina is quite suitable, which we will simply paint with dry pastel later on. Another option: put a knife on dry pastel in semolina.

For the manufacture of the stem and pestle, we take a wire / cable with a diameter of 2.5 cm and foamiran 10 * 30 in lemon color. Cut a 5 cm * 6.5 cm rectangle from one corner. Wrap the cable with foamiran, periodically gluing it with super glue. Round off the tip and glue it well.

Then the stem tip is 6.5 cm. Coat with PVA glue and sprinkle with semolina or flock powder. And leave to dry.

MK on foamiran: how to make calla leaves?

From green foamiran according to the template, cut out a calla leaf.

To tint the sheet, we use oil pastel and a sponge. We mix the following colors: grass green, swamp color, green-yellow, aquamarine. We do tinting of the sheet from two sides. We start tinting with dark green pastel from the center of the sheet to the edges, and we also tint the sheet end. Then we color with the color of the sea wave, from the center to the edges of the sheet, but the edges themselves are not affected.

Then we process the sheet on the iron. We bend it in half and warm it on the iron, pressing the place of heating with our fingers, that is, we make a central vein. Fold the sheet from the central vein diagonally and heat it, also pressing it with your fingers. So we make the texture of the sheet. We heat the sheet from the wrong side, we form veins at a distance of 2-3 cm.

Pencil directly through the veins with a light green pastel, blending well with a sponge. Then we take the color of the sea wave and tint from the center to the edges of the sheet, also blending well. After applying tinting, we continue processing the sheet. We heat the leaf end and make waves at the edges. The tip (stick) of the sheet also needs to be heated and rounded. We heat the top (tip) of the sheet from the front side and scroll a little and bend it down.

On the front side of the sheet make white pastel strokes.

We take the green wire in paper braid, glue with super glue along the central vein along the length of the sheet.

We take the cable and attach to the base of the sheet. We process it with tape tape.

We cover the sheet with acrylic glossy varnish with a sponge (two times).

MK on foamiran: making calla flowers

According to the template, cut out the calla petal from white foamiran. Take a light and dark purple butter pastel.

From the wrong side we tint a little edge and bottom with arbitrary movements from the bottom up (first with light and then with dark pastel).

The front side of the petal is tinted from the bottom up, as if drawing a droplet. In the beginning we draw with light pastel, and then with dark purple pastel. We tint the end of the petal with dark purple pastel. Then we take a light green pastel and paint the bottom and top of the petal.

We process the petals on the iron. At the beginning, apply the petal with the front side to the bottom and make a recess by pulling it out. Then apply the other side. Then we put the petal in an accordion and rub between the fingers. The edges of the upper part of the petal are heated and wrapped. We heat the green tip of the petal and bend it slightly.

Glue the pestle. It should reach the middle of the petal. The last step we collect the flower. At the beginning we glue the left part of the petal, then the right lap (as if closing from above). The pestle can be bent as you like.

Processes the stem with tape tape. Directly on the teip tape you can go pastel light green and dark green. Then it will look more realistic.

In the same way, you can make calla classic white, just skipping the stage with tinted flower.

The callas from foamiran presented in this master class are not just beautiful flowers, but a functional case for storing knitting needles.

Of course, you can insert wire into the stem if you are not knitting. But for those who lose knitting needles all the time, a charming bouquet will help keep the needlework tools in order. The lesson is designed for beginners. Follow the step by step description and photo. Have a nice craft!

  Materials and Tools

To make your own calla lilies that look like living, prepare:

  • foamiran white and dark green 1 mm thick;
  • semolina;
  • pVA glue and “Moment”;
  • water-soluble paints (acrylic);
  • knitting needles;
  • a pen;
  • paper;
  • scissors, cotton sponge;
  • iron.

If this is your first time going to work with foamiran, in our fact-finding article. Working with this material is not difficult. He is malleable, easily acquires the desired shape, long retains decorativeness.

  Step-by-step manufacturing technique

On paper, arbitrarily draw a heart-shaped blank of a petal 10 cm long and 8 cm wide and another, slightly larger, for a calla leaf.

Cut a calla pattern, attach to a sheet of white foamiran and circle it with the end of the knitting needle. The pressure should not be too strong, otherwise the material will tear. Repeat as many times as you need flowers in the bouquet.

Draw the longitudinal stripes with a knitting needle, coming from the base and tapering to the tiprepeating the contour of the flower, at a distance of about 3-4 mm. The finished drawing will resemble a sectional bulb. Cut out the details.

Dilute the acrylics with water to a translucent state. With a damp sponge, tint the bottom third of the petal in a pale yellow color. The sepal base is colored green.

Heat the iron in the weakest mode. Place the cut calla lobe on the iron for 3-4 seconds. Stretch the foamiran with your fingers from the base to the tip. Make a groove in the base. The edges of the petal gently rub in the fingers to thin the material and straighten. Perform all manipulations carefully so as not to tear.

For the pestle, cut a rectangular triangle of white foamiran with a height of 7 cm and a length of 10 cm. Lubricate it along the contour with glue Moment. Roll into a roll without leaving voids inside.

Dip the finished pestle first in PVA glue, and then in semolina. Paint the dried part yellow with a cotton or foam sponge.

For a cover that imitates a calla stalk, cut a rectangle slightly shorter than a spoke, 2 cm wide. Coat its edges along the length with Moment glue, twist it to form a cover. Inside, the stem must be hollow so that the spoke passes freely.

To decorate the pen, simply wrap a green strip of glue around it.

With a strip of green foamiran smeared with Moment glue, connect the stem and pestle. Stick a white petal on top so that one part is lower than the other. Give the dried flower of a calla flower from foamiran: rounded the edges, pull out the pointed tip, twist it.

From a green foamiran, cut a calla leaf, draw with a knitting needle longitudinal strips in the same way as for a petal. Glue it to the stem “Moment”.

Stretch the color of the paint from dark green to light green at the junction of the flower with the stem. Using a sponge, apply dark green paint to the leaf and stem.

Thus, you can make a case for a brush, pencil, felt-tip pen. And if you want flowers in a pot, then fix the bouquet in a small pot with plaster.
