In addition to grapes, the highlight of the dish is walnuts, which are pre-crushed into crumbs.

Be sure to prepare this salad for a celebration, and it will become the centerpiece of your table.

Rinse the lettuce leaves lightly under running water, dry completely on a woven towel, then lay on a flat plate in several rows, fluff with your hands.

Cut the smoked chicken into medium-sized cubes, place on top of the leaves. This will be the first layer of the salad.

Draw stripes of mayonnaise on the chicken. Mayonnaise together with the components does not need to be pressed down, the salad should be airy.

Boil the eggs in advance in slightly salted water, cool, peel the top layer, chop with a fine grater. Pour a layer of chicken with egg chips, also cover with mayonnaise.

Grate hard cheese in the same way, lay on top of the eggs, brush with mayonnaise.

Place walnut kernels in a blender container, chop into crumbs. In order for the nut mass to be soft and slightly moist, pour in a small amount of vegetable oil during grinding.

Put the resulting crumb in the next layer. At the end, brush the lettuce with mayonnaise.

Separate the grapes from the main bunch, divide with a knife into two parts, be sure to remove possible seeds. Lay the grape halves around the entire perimeter of the salad in a circular pattern.

After cooking, load the dish in the refrigerator for several hours so that all layers are slightly saturated with mayonnaise. At the same time, do not forget to cover it with cling film to avoid weathering. Before serving, decorate the Tiffany salad with smoked chicken and grape greens.

Ingredients

There are many variations of snacks that differ significantly from each other. However, two ingredients must be present in the composition: grapes and chicken, which is usually fried with curry. Other components may vary depending on taste preferences and what is in the refrigerator.

Choice of main ingredients

The main ingredient of the appetizer is chicken meat. Fresh fillet is traditionally used: it is easy to cook and convenient to cut for salad. When choosing a product, you should pay attention that the piece is elastic, without cuts and bruises. In addition to chicken, the dish contains six other ingredients.

  1. Cheese. You need to choose a product of durum varieties: it is more aromatic, retains its shape better in a salad and is easier to grind on a grater.
  2. Eggs. It is advisable to use fresh, homemade. If this is not possible, buy a product of the first category: it is more balanced in composition.
  3. Walnuts. The kernels should be dry, any flavor other than nutty should alert. Buying walnuts in the shell to make Tiffany salad with them is not worth it if the product is too light or coated.
  4. Curry. A spice consisting of several spices: turmeric, a mixture of peppers, cinnamon, fenugreek, coriander, ginger, cumin and salt. Sometimes additional components are added. It is recommended to make the composition yourself or purchase products from trusted brands, for example, KOTANYI, Bharat Bazaar, Simply Organic, Frontier.
  5. Mayonnaise. Judging by the reviews, products manufactured under the Sloboda and Ryaba brands are most preferred.
  6. Grape. Berries should be large, color does not matter. Choose fruits without damage, traces of mold and decay.

Culinary subtleties

Lettuce is layered. It takes time for all the ingredients to soak, so after cooking, you need to leave the appetizer in the refrigerator for one to two hours before serving. Here are three more secrets that will help make Tiffany salad at home no worse than in a restaurant.

  1. Mayonnaise impregnation. The dressing should be applied in a thin layer, and even better - with a mesh, so as not to overdo it.
  2. Grape. If there are bones, carefully remove them with a toothpick. To make the halves of the grapes “lie down” stronger, dip in mayonnaise, and then use for decoration.
  3. Hen. So that the chicken fried with seasonings does not seem to taste dry, first marinate it for half an hour in lemon juice.

Peculiarities. The classic Tiffany salad recipe is a win-win snack option, perfectly balanced in taste. Having mastered it, you can start experimenting with the composition.

  • chicken fillet - 700 g;
  • eggs - four pieces;
  • hard cheese - 150 g;
  • walnuts - half a glass;
  • mayonnaise, curry and pepper to taste;

Technics

  1. Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces, fry until tender with curry and pepper.
  2. Coarsely grate the cheese and eggs, brown the nuts in a dry frying pan, crush, but not into powder.
  3. At the bottom of a flat plate, draw a silhouette of a vine with mayonnaise to make it easier to stack the salad.
  4. Lay out the products in accordance with the prepared form in layers, sprinkling each component with nuts and seasoning with mayonnaise: half fillet, half eggs, half cheese. Repeat sequence. Do not season the last layer of cheese with mayonnaise and do not sprinkle with nuts.
  5. Garnish the salad with grapes and parsley.

The chicken can be pre-boiled, then shredded and then fried for a few minutes with curry.

There is no such dish that all the mistresses of the world would prepare in the same way. And the Tiffany appetizer is no exception. In order for the salad to be perceived differently, drastic changes are possible, but not necessary. Giving free rein to your imagination, you can go in three ways: replace some ingredients with others, introduce new products into the composition, or “play” with the design of the dish.

Substitute Products

The traditional recipe contains a small amount of ingredients, you can replace three of them.

  1. Chicken cooked with curry. To save time, it can be replaced with smoked. Such a product gives the appetizer a characteristic flavor, although far from curry, but no less spicy. The step-by-step recipe for Tiffany salad with smoked chicken is otherwise no different from the basic one.

  7. Korean carrot. Throw in a strainer or colander, let drain excess liquid. This component goes well with prunes.
  8. Spices. In addition to traditional curry and pepper, use Provencal herbs and nutmeg for cooking chicken.
  9. Greenery. Finely chop parsley, dill, green onion.
  10. Avocado. Free from the skin, chop into thin strips.
  11. Mushrooms. Fresh or frozen sauté with chopped onions. You can cook salad "Tiffany" with champignons. If canned are used, heat treatment is optional.

Ingredients: half a kilo of chicken fillet, 80 g of semi-hard or hard cheese, 4 boiled eggs, 2 wood chips. ground curry, 230 g seedless grapes, 3 lettuce leaves, mayonnaise, 40 g walnut kernels, salt.

  1. The chicken is washed, dried and cut into small pieces, which are fried until golden brown in any curry oil.
  2. Lettuce leaves are washed, water is shaken off from them, after which the product is torn into small pieces and poured onto a flat plate.
  3. Fried fillet is distributed on top, on which a grid of salted mayonnaise is drawn.
  4. Next come grated eggs with sauce, grated cheese, crushed walnut kernels with a knife or in a blender.
  5. The resulting salad is generously washed with mayonnaise and garnished with halves of grapes.

The finished Tiffany appetizer with walnuts is sent to cool for 2-3 hours.

With smoked chicken and grapes

Ingredients: 1 smoked chicken breast, 90 g nuts (walnuts or almonds), mayonnaise, 320 g dark grapes, 3 boiled eggs, 170 g semi-hard or hard cheese, salt.

  1. The first layer of treats will be small cubes of smoked chicken, smeared with salted mayonnaise.
  2. Next come the cooled grated eggs with sauce, chopped nuts and grated cheese.

Ingredients: 230 g of semi-hard or hard cheese, large chicken fillet, 2 boiled eggs, a small branch of white grapes, 70 g of peanuts, mayonnaise, curry, salt.

  1. First, miniature pieces of fillet are boiled until tender in salt water. Then they are poured into a frying pan with heated oil, flavored with curry and fried until golden brown.
  2. Eggs cool and rub on a grater.
  3. Peanut kernels are fried in a clean, dry frying pan, after which they are crushed in a blender.
  4. Chicken with mayonnaise is laid out at the bottom of the plate, which is sprinkled with nuts.
  5. Grated eggs with salted sauce are distributed on top.
  6. Next comes half the grapes, cut into small pieces, and grated cheese with mayonnaise.

It remains to decorate the appetizer with halves of the remaining berries. You can also use fresh herbs for this purpose.

With grapes, chicken and mushrooms

Ingredients: 340 g of chicken meat, 180 g of any fresh mushrooms (champignons are best), 160 g of semi-hard cheese, salt, 4 pre-cooked large eggs, white onion, 330 g of large green grapes, mayonnaise.

  1. Fresh mushrooms are peeled, cut into miniature pieces and, together with onion cubes, fried in hot oil. The mass needs to be slightly salted.
  2. Chicken meat is boiled in salted boiling water until tender, cooled and arbitrarily crushed.
  3. Cheese and eggs that have cooled down after cooking rub coarsely.
  4. Grapes are removed from the branch and each berry is cut in half. Bones are removed from the fruit.
  5. Snack layers can be laid out arbitrarily. The main thing is that the shredded chicken goes first, and the halves of the grapes are the last.
  6. Mayonnaise is added to taste, after which each layer of the snack is smeared with it.

Before serving, the dish is well infused in the cool.

How to cook a snack with onions?

Ingredients: half a kilogram of chicken fillet, salt, 160 g of cheese (semi-hard or hard), 4 boiled eggs, large onion, 80 g of walnut kernels, a bunch of sweet grapes, mayonnaise.

  1. Chicken meat is cut into miniature pieces, after which they are fried with chopped onion half rings. These ingredients, smeared with salted mayonnaise, will be the first layer of the snack.
  2. The cooled smaller eggs are cut with a knife and spilled over the chicken.
  3. Next comes grated cheese mixed with sauce.
  4. The nuts crushed by the blender are distributed last.
